v1.01.287 ZZZZ287 — Basic validation of the POST_RUPTURE operator#

Summary:

The purpose of this test is to validate the POST_RUPTURE operator in an elementary way. This test has no physical meaning, it is essentially a computer test.

Various operations are tested:

  • normalization of the curvilinear abscissa,

  • calculation of the angle of bifurcation,

  • calculation of the crack advance increment in fatigue with the Paris law with and without a threshold,

  • calculation of the equivalent stress intensity factor,

  • calculation of \({(\Delta K)}_{\mathit{eq}}\) used for propagation in variable amplitude,

  • zeroing the negative values of the stress intensity factors \({K}_{1}\) and calculating the new recovery rate G using the Irwin formula.

This test contains two models:

  • Modeling A considers a crack with a background.

  • Model B includes a crack with two bottoms.
