.. _V1.01.287: **v1.01.287** ZZZZ287 — Basic validation of the POST_RUPTURE operator =========================================================================== **Summary:** The purpose of this test is to validate the POST_RUPTURE operator in an elementary way. This test has no physical meaning, it is essentially a computer test. Various operations are tested: * normalization of the curvilinear abscissa, * calculation of the angle of bifurcation, * calculation of the crack advance increment in fatigue with the Paris law with and without a threshold, * calculation of the equivalent stress intensity factor, * calculation of :math:`{(\Delta K)}_{\mathit{eq}}` used for propagation in variable amplitude, * zeroing the negative values of the stress intensity factors :math:`{K}_{1}` and calculating the new recovery rate G using the Irwin formula. This test contains two models: * Modeling A considers a crack with a background. * Model B includes a crack with two bottoms. This documentation is deliberately brief.
