In the diagnosis of the quality of the meshes, the extreme values encountered in the mesh analyzed are first noted. Here the minimum is 1.0044, very close to the theoretical absolute minimum which is 1, and the maximum encountered is 1.5788. Connectivity control ensures that the computing domain is in one piece. It may happen that this domain is in several disjunct parts, for example for contact problems. But the diagnosis of several pieces often reveals a problem when creating the mesh: we did not put sub-parts together correctly. And since visual checks don’t always make it clear, the calculation is wrong… while appearing to be accurate. Worst situation that could ever happen. Therefore, it is highly recommended to use this option.
