u4.42.02 Macro-command MACR_CARA_POUTRE#

This macro command makes it possible to calculate the characteristics of a beam cross section from a 2D mesh of its cross section.

It makes it possible to build a table of values, usable by the command AFFE_CARA_ELEM [U4.42.01] to assign characteristics of straight sections to all the finite elements of beams (models POU_D_E, POU_D_T, POU_D_TG, pou_d_em, pou_d_tgm) or members (modeling BARRE) of any cross section.

The required characteristics are defined in the reference note [R3.08.03]. These are:

  • the geometric characteristics (which can be calculated on the full mesh, half mesh with symmetry with respect to \(Y\) or \(Z\), quarter mesh with two symmetries with respect to \(Y\) and to \(Z\)),

  • the torsional characteristics: torsional radius, torsional stiffness constant, position and eccentricity of the torsional center for the flexion-torsional coupling,

  • shear characteristics for models with shear force deformations,

  • warping characteristics for torsional models of non-symmetric open sections.

The macro command produces a table_sdaster concept containing the characteristics of the section. The values contained in this table can be used, via Python, in the AFFE_CARA_ELEM command for a beam calculation or by entering the table produced in AFFE_CARA_ELEM using the table_cara keyword.
