Allocate memory, disk, and file resources.

The execution consists of a set of commands beginning with DEBUT and se ending with [FIN]. See also the [POURSUITE] procedure.

The DEBUT command does the following:

  • Definition of the characteristics of databases (managed by JEVEUX) and allocation of associated files,

  • Reading the catalogs of items and orders.

The apparently complex syntax of this procedure should not cause concern to the user; its call with the operands by default, sufficient in most cases, is: DEBUT ().
