2. Software EUROPLEXUS#
The Europlexus software [1] is a simulation software dedicated to the rapid dynamic analysis of structures and fluids. EDFco - develops this code in partnership with the owners: the Commission for Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies (CEA) and the European Commission Joint Research Center located in Ispra (Italy).
The Europlexus software is based on the discretization of space using finite elements. Temporal integration is achieved through an explicit, conditionally stable schema. The resolution algorithm is non-linear both at the geometric level (large displacements, large deformations) and at the material level (non-linear laws of behavior).
The Europlexus code can be called by the Code_Aster software via the macro-command CALC_EUROPLEXUS, which makes it possible to control the execution of a Europlexus study from a Code_Aster command file. The CALC_EUROPLEXUS command thus makes it possible to define and execute a Europlexus study while remaining entirely in the Code_Aster environment. The resolution is done in the background by*Europlexus*, without the user having to worry about preparing the Europlexus input files.
CALC_EUROPLEXUS takes the Aster concepts as arguments, builds the Europlexus command file, starts and controls the execution of Europlexus, then reconstructs, from a Europlexus result file in MED format, an Aster result concept that can then be analyzed with Aster in post-processing.
The framework for the CALC_EUROPLEXUS command is detailed in the documentation [U7.03.10].
