3. How do you write your order file?#

3.1. Starting from nothing?#

When one wants to model a new thermo-mechanical problem, one does not usually start with a blank slate: it is useful to draw inspiration from a command file with a modeling similar to the one to be treated. How do I get these files? The sources are diverse:

the*Code_Aster test database, with its documentation, is often an important help, as it covers a large part of the code’s functionalities (you can find these tests in the astest directory of the code installation),

the training courses allow you to know in depth all the commands relating to types of models: static, linear, thermal, dynamic, thermo-plasticity, post-treatment… In particular, the practical training courses are tests: FORMA**. The associated validation documentation (V) contains the titles and answers to these practical exercises.

Writing this command file will be greatly facilitated by using the command file editor EFICAS.

3.2. Some essential commands#

We will now detail the commands necessary to carry out the envisaged calculation.
