During a simulation with Code_Aster, displays by default chart in the message and result files (.mess/.resu) some dimensioning characteristics of the calculation (consumption RAM, time CPU, time, system and user…). This documentation details the displays of these performance indicators.

We also offer some tips to help the user take advantage of these diagnoses. But it is important to be aware that there is no universal recipe for optimizing the overall performance of a calculation. It depends on the type of study, on the software and hardware aspects of the machine, and even on its load!

The default settings and code displays/alarms offer balanced and calibrated operation. But, to be sure to have made the best use of the capabilities of his machine, the user must remain attentive to the elements described in this document as well as to the advice found in the order documentation. This document includes many elements of the User documentation on the keyword SOLVEUR [U4.50.01], [U2.08.06] and on parallelism [U2.08.03].
