4. Conclusion

The CALC_BT command allows you to perform the reinforcement calculation using the tie rod method.

As input to this command, the user gives the result concepts associated with an elastic linear calculation performed, the geometry and boundary conditions of the model as well as the materials to be used and the parameters of the desired optimization.

The user can choose between two iterative optimization schemes; a scheme for optimizing the sections of the elements (SCHEMA = “SECTION”) and a second optimization scheme (SCHEMA = “TOPO”) which also considers the quantity of elements as one of the variables to be optimized.

The quantities determined by the command CALC_BT are reported in a table in which we find the value of the parameters by elements such as force, section, length and the type of associated element (connecting rod or tie rod).
