r7.02.16 Gp method: an energetic approach to the prediction of cleavage

Summary

The parameter \({G}_{p}\) makes it possible to define a valid priming criterion in the field of cleavage (fragile intra-granular rupture in the presence of plasticity). First of all, we recall the foundations of this approach: energetic framework for the behavior of structures, modeling of the crack by a notch, principle of minimizing energy and definition of the criterion. The link between the global approach and the local approach is discussed before then specifying the essential elements for implementing \({G}_{p}\) in Code_Aster.
