r3.03.06 Hull-girder connection#

Summary:

The shell-beam connection is described here, which makes it possible to connect two mesh parts, one consisting of beam elements (or a discrete element), and the other meshed into shell elements (to represent phenomena other than beam kinematics). This development therefore works under hypotheses translating that it is the same beam kinematics that is transmitted between the two meshes, on either side of the connection. It results in 6 linear relationships connecting the movements of all the nodes at the edge of the shell with the 6 degrees of freedom of the end node of the beam.
