Summary:

This document explains the principle used in Code_Aster to link 3D or 2D continuous environment modeling and beam modeling.

In 3D, this connection results in 6 linear relationships connecting the movements of the set of 3D nodes (3 degrees of freedom per node) linked with the beam node with the 6 degrees of freedom of this node.

In 2D, this connection results in 3 linear relationships connecting the movements of the set of 2D nodes (2 degrees of freedom per node) linked with the beam node with the 3 degrees of freedom of this node.
