4. Summary of results#
This test case proposes a modeling of the very classical Liakopoulos experience. The simulations reproduce the expected results perfectly, even if we do not have numerical reference results. This test allows us to validate that gravity has been taken into account correctly by the various numerical schemes. This problem is in fact treated with the 2 numerical diagrams available for modeling two-phase flows:
the decentralized edge finite volumes diagram.
classical finite elements.
The results obtained are the same. In terms of performance and reliability, preference will be given to Decentralized Finite Volume Decentralized Edge schemes (*_ HH2SUDA).
