3. Modeling A#
3.1. Characteristics of modeling#
This is a D_ PLAN_HM modeling using quadratic HM- XFEM elements.
3.2. Characteristics of the mesh#
The block on which the modeling is performed is divided into 25 QUAD8.
3.3. Tested sizes and results#
We test the value of the vertical movements for the nodes \(A\), \(B\) and \(C\) which are located on each of the three interface branches. The tolerance is set to \({10}^{-6}\). These values are summarized in the table below:

3.4. notes#
We also visualized the field of movement in the directions \(x\) and \(y\) (Figure and Figure). It is checked that the bar behaves like a non-cracked bar.
