1.2. Material properties#

The values used for the sixteen parameters of the Barcelona model are given in v7.31.124-parametres_barcelone.

The properties of fluids (dry gas and liquid water) and of diffusion within the solid skeleton, necessary to solve the coupled calculation LIQU_GAZ, are presented in Section 1.3.

1.3. Boundary conditions and loads#

The gas pressure remains constant equal to \(\mathrm{PRE2}={1}\) Pa. In the first loading phase, desaturation is carried out, during which the capillary pressure increases to \(\mathrm{PRE1}={400}\) kPa. In the second phase, maintaining this capillary pressure, isotropic compression is carried out until the mean stress \(\sigma_m=-600\) kPa is reached.
