3. Modeling A#

3.1. Characteristics of modeling A#

  • Modeling in plane deformations.

  • 100 \(\mathrm{Q4}\) elements of equal width for a total length of \(20\) m.

Note: like all THM models, the mesh must be quadratic, but the numerical processing is done on \(\mathrm{Q4}\).

3.2. Model A result#

Discretization in time: 10 \(50000s\) time steps each.

Node array at the time \(5\mathrm{\times }{10}^{5}s\) :

Modeling A contains a second calculation that checks the possibility of mixing THM elements with non-THM elements, including in dynamics (DYNA_NON_LINE).

This second calculation (which is in fact purely computational) does non-regression tests on the same quantities and in the same places.
