Summary

It is a test of fracture mechanics in thermo-mechanics for a three-dimensional problem. We consider a circular crack immersed in a thermoelastic medium. A uniform temperature is imposed on the lips of the crack. This test makes it possible to calculate the energy release rate \(G\) and the stress intensity factor \({K}_{I}\) at various points at the bottom of the crack.

The advantage of the test is the invariance of \(G\) and \({K}_{I}\) according to different crowns and the comparison to an analytical solution.
