Benchmark solution ===================== This test case is a case of non-regression. The solution compared to here is obtained using a Python development version of the command, which made it possible to develop the :math:`{G}_{p}` approach. The notch bottom is elliptical in shape. This is described by slices. Each slice consists of chips. This total chip zone corresponds to the virtual propagation of the notch. .. image:: images/10000200000000C1000000959059F6BE534A4658.png :width: 3.0146in :height: 2.6209in .. _RefImage_10000200000000C1000000959059F6BE534A4658.png: Slice n Band N+1 Chip 1 from Tranche N Notch background In each chip and at each moment, the evolution of the quantity :math:`{G}_{p}(\Delta S)` defined by: :math:`{G}_{p}(\Delta S)=2[{W}_{\mathit{elas}}^{\mathit{traction}}(\Delta S)]/\Delta S` where :math:`{W}_{\mathit{elas}}^{\mathit{traction}}(\Delta S)` is the elastic tensile energy calculated on the cumulative chip zone according to a slice.
