3. Modeling A#
3.1. Characteristics of modeling#
The crack is modelled by a notch with a radius of 100 microns. Zone \(\mathrm{Ze}\), \(2\mathrm{mm}\) in length, is divided into zones 20 microns thick (also called « chips »). The modeling chosen is 3D.
3.2. Characteristics of the mesh#
Number of knots: 7598
Number of meshes and types: 2 POI1, 231 SEG3, 231, 185, 185 TRIA6, 185, 532 QUAD8, 1368 PENTA15, 704 HEXA20
3.3. Tested sizes and results#
We test the values of \({G}_{p}\) determined by the CALC_GP macro.

Table 3.1
In all cases, the difference between the values calculated by the two versions of CALC_GP is minimal, which validates them mutually.
