4. B modeling#
4.1. Characteristic of modeling#
The problem is modelled in 3D.
To converge the modeling A uses the elastic matrix throughout the simulation. The use of the tangent matrix, throughout the simulation, leads to non-convergence when the damage becomes too significant.
This test case makes it possible to validate the switch from the tangent matrix to the elastic matrix as soon as the time step (after subdivision) becomes less than a given threshold. We therefore start with the tangent matrix and then during the subdivision we switch to an elastic matrix.
