This test makes it possible to test three different ways of imposing the tension of prestress cables. Each of these ways leads to different tension profiles in the cables and therefore to different stresses in the concrete. The user should be aware of the differences.
Moreover, when combining this cable tension calculation with a non-linear calculation, it is important not to add up the losses. Thus, if concrete is modelled using a visco-elastic law, it will not be necessary to take into account the losses due to concrete creep in the calculation of cable tension.
It should also be noted that the tension is far from being uniform, this is the whole point of these operators compared to imposing prestress in the form of a pre-deformation or a fictitious thermal field.
