**v6.04.147** SSNV147 - Traction of a damaging bar: validation of the pilot

**Summary:**

The use of softening laws can lead to brutal *snap-backs* that make it difficult to perform the calculation. To monitor these instabilities, two types of control are available in *Code_Aster*: control by elastic prediction (PRED_ELAS), which depends on the law of behavior, and generic deformation control (DEFORMATION). To validate these techniques, a tensile test is carried out on a bar with a square cross section of which a section has been weakened in order to cause the damage to be localized.
