**Summary:**

In this test case, a semi-static nonlinear geometric calculation of a pinched spherical cap is presented. It allows you to test the COQUE_3D modeling in geometric nonlinear and the algorithm for updating large 3D rotations (Keyword GROT_GDEP of the operator STAT_NON_LINE). This popular example in linear analysis shows the ability of the shell element to represent flexure without extension and rigid body movements well. In addition, the thinness of the shell in relation to its radius of curvature makes it possible to test the treatment of blocking under transverse shear. The deformations obtained by*Code_Aster* differ from 0.1 to 1.25% compared to those of Code SAMCEF, taken for reference.
