v6.03.302 SSNP302 - Thermal loaded element - Appearance of parasitic stresses#
Summary:
This 2D linear quasistatic mechanics test consists in thermally loading a plate element to degree 1, by applying a temperature field that varies linearly on the element and by fixing one side of the element.
Since this element is of degree 1, the total mechanical deformation will be constant in the element. Since the thermal field imposes a linear deformation in the element, it will be necessary to take a coefficient of expansion and a thermal gradient that is sufficiently large to make the total mechanical deformation sensitive to the imposed thermal field.
The plate is modelled by a plane element (MECPQU4).
