4. Modeling A#

4.1. Characteristics of modeling#

The top half of the domain is meshed into 6-node triangular elements. The mesh has 16602 triangles TRIA6 and 223 SEG2.

The size of the central crack, a, is equal to \(\mathrm{0,3571}m\). 1 time of \(1s\) is modelled.

4.2. Results#

In the figures and respectively, the horizontal displacements DX and the damage criterion (internal variable V1) are plotted at the end of \(\mathrm{1s}\).
