2. Modeling A#
2.1. Characteristics of modeling#
The entire domain is meshed into quadrangular elements with 8 nodes. The mesh consists of 225 rectangles and 30 segments.
1 time of \(1s\) is modelled.
2.2. Results#
In the figures and respectively, the horizontal displacements DX and the damage criterion (internal variable V1) are plotted at the end of \(\mathrm{1s}\).
We see a crack that starts at \(2\mathrm{/}3\) of the domain (when V1 is equal to 1, the material is broken).

2.3. Tested values#
The displacement value is tested at point \(\mathit{testpn}\) corresponding to a node that is located \(2\mathrm{/}3\) of the side length of the plate.
