v6.03.123 SSNP123 - Elastoplasticity notched plate#

Summary:

This test in quasistatic plane deformations makes it possible to illustrate questions relating to incompressibility when using an elastoplastic behavior law: when the plasticity rate becomes important, non-physical stress oscillations may appear. It is shown that the use of sub-integrated QUAD4 and HEXA8 elements can overcome this problem.

It is a notched rectangular plate made of an elastoplastic material with isotropic work hardening which is subjected to traction at its ends. We are interested in the elastoplastic solution in charge.

Modeling A corresponds to the use of sub-integrated QUAD4 elements stabilized by the « assumed strain » method.

B modeling corresponds to the use of incompressible QUAD8 elements that make it possible to obtain a reference solution for modeling A.

C modeling corresponds to the use of sub-integrated HEXA8 elements stabilized by the « assumed strain » method.

D modeling corresponds to the use of incompressible HEXA20 elements that make it possible to obtain a reference solution for C modeling.

Moreover, the E to M models verify elements HHO and their robustness at the incompressible limit.
