v6.02.101 SSNL101 - Nonlinear behavior of a line arming element#

Summary:

In this test, we consider 1 discrete element with 2 knots subjected to a transverse force in nonlinear static analysis.

The element has a behavior governed by a non-linear relationship expressed in unidirectional effort and displacement in the transverse and local direction \(y\).

The advantage of the test is to comprehensively simulate the possible loading paths, under load and discharge, in each of the areas of the behavioral relationship: elastic, plastic and ultimate.

The reduced dimension of the problem to an unknown (the transverse displacement of the end) makes it possible to have as a solution the result of an algebraic expression exactly found by Aster.
