5. C modeling#
5.1. Characteristics of C modeling#
axisymmetric modeling
boundary conditions:
\(B\): |
\(\mathrm{DX}=0\) |
|
As for A (3D) modeling, linear constraints are introduced to better represent shell kinematics. They relate to the knots at the outer edge of the disc. If \(i\) and \(j\) designate 2 nodes on either side of the middle sheet, they are written:
\({u}_{i}+{u}_{j}=0\) where \(u\) refers to radial displacement
5.2. Characteristics of the mesh#
Number of knots: |
149 |
Number of meshes and types: |
40 QUAD8, 10 SEG3 |
5.3. Tested values#
Identification |
Reference |
Arrow \(\mathrm{w0}\) \((\mathrm{mm})\) |
—1.430 |
SIXX \((\mathrm{MPa})\) center, half—thickness |
3900 |
SIZZ \((\mathrm{MPa})\) center, half—thickness |
3900 |
5.4. notes#
In the absence of an axisymmetric reference calculation SAMCEF, we rely on the thick shell calculation (always SAMCEF) and we only compare the deflection and the stresses at the center at mid-thickness.
