6. D modeling#

6.1. Characteristics of modeling#

This is modeling \(\text{X-FEM}\), in axisymmetry (AXIS). The sphere is meshed with quadrangular and quadratic elements.

6.2. Characteristics of the mesh#

The mesh includes 324 QUAD8 meshes.

6.3. Tested sizes and results#

The values of normal pressure and contact and displacement are tested. We test all the contact points on the interface. It is verified that the values determined analytically are indeed recovered. To test all the nodes at once, we test the minimum and the maximum on all post-processing points of the interface.
