12. Summary of results

All the methods used (upwind, upwind+auxiliary, simplex and geometric grid) made it possible to correctly calculate the position of a crack propagating in mixed mode under severe conditions. This also made it possible to validate the implementation of these methods in operator PROPA_FISS and in particular the possibility of locating the level-sets update area.

If we consider that the mesh used in the test cases is coarse, we can say that the methods calculate the position of the crack bottom accurately enough.
