5. Summary of results

The results concerning the circular crack are in accordance with those of the reference since the mean square deviation is less than 5%.

For the elliptical crack, the shape of the curve representing the evolution of local G is substantially different from that of the reference solution. However, the mean square difference remains less than 10%.
