3. Modeling A#

3.1. Characteristics of modeling#

The 0.25 m long double-supported structure, extending between X = -0.1 m and X = 0.15 m, is connected in volume in the zone of overlap, which extends between the positions 0.0 m and 0.05 m, to a 3D model by the 3D option POU_ARLEQUIN of the keyword LIAISON_ELEM of the operator AFFE_CHAR_MECA.

It is modelled by Timoshenko beam elements (POU_D_T) and linear solid elements (PENTA6 and HEXA8).

DYNA_LINE_TRAN calculate the dynamic response of the structure for 3 s, due to a nodal force with a value equal to 100 N on the 3D mesh node located at X = 0.02 m.
