v3.04.105 SSLV105 - Centrifugal stiffness of a rotating beam#
Summary:
Structural mechanics test in linear static analysis.
The geometry is that of a slender beam subjected to rotation around one of its ends. Five models are considered: 3D elements (HEXA20), multi-fiber Timoshenko beams (POU_D_TGM), Euler beams (POU_D_E) and Timoshenko beams (POU_D_T) with a constant or variable cross section. Here we test the forces of inertia of rotation (like test SSLV104) taking into account centrifugal stiffness.
The reference solutions (analytical and numerical) take into account the term of additional stiffness due to rotation. The results are identical to those corresponding to the reference solutions.
