5.2. Characteristics of the mesh#

Number of meshes and types: 360 TRIA7
5.3. Tested values#

Point \(C\) displacement \(v\) |
—1.8248 10—5 |
5.4. notes#
For a mesh with 500 TRIA7 and 1071 knots (division 10 on \(\mathrm{AD}\) and \(\mathrm{BC}\), 25 on \(\mathrm{AB}\) and \(\mathrm{DC}\)), we get a displacement \(v\) at the point \(C\) of —1.7723 10—5. The relative error on the \(v\) move in \(C\) is then 2.88%. The results with this element for light meshes is therefore not very good and improves relatively little with an increase in the number of meshes.
