.. _V3.02.105: **v3.02.105** SSLP105 - Excavation of a circular tunnel in a linear elastic mass ============================================================================================ **Summary:** This test is an example of the implementation of a global methodology for the two-dimensional simulation of the digging and support of a circular gallery in an underground mass with *Code_Aster*. To validate the approach on the basis of a simple analytical solution, we are required to make restrictive hypotheses about the geometry of the problem, the behavior of the materials (linear elastic) and the initial stress field (isotropic). The reference solution is given by the so-called "convergence-confinement" method, which is classical for this type of 2D modeling.
