11. Modeling I#
11.1. Characteristics of modeling#
Modeling: 3D.
Law of linear elastic behavior.
The pre-deformation introduced via the keyword PRE_EPSI in AFFE_CHAR_MECA is defined by an analytical function.
This calculation consists of a 3D modeling of the D model, which is axisymmetric.
11.2. Characteristics of the mesh#
The mesh is obtained from that of modeling A and extended by revolution around the \(\vec{\mathit{oy}}\) axis over an angle of 90° over 10 elements. The rest of the structure is not represented by symmetry.

Number of knots: 11433
Number of meshes and types:
90 TETRA10
270 HEXA27
140 PYRAM13
3360 PENTA15
Elements of BARSOUM are used for the meshes connected to the bottom of the crack.
11.3. Tested sizes and results#
Only the point in the middle of the crack front shown is tested.
