5. E modeling#

5.1. Characteristics of modeling#

The loading considered here is a variable loading along the crack lips. Variable pressure is imposed on the lips of the crack:

\(p\mathrm{=}\frac{x\mathrm{-}100}{\mathrm{37,5}}\).

In a second resolution, an equivalent contouring force is also imposed on the lips. Theoretically, the results are the same.

5.2. Characteristics of the mesh#

Modeling mesh C.

5.3. Tested sizes and results#

\(G\) values from CALC_G, option G.

Values of \({G}_{\mathit{IRWIN}}\), \({K}_{1}\), and \({K}_{2}\) from CALC_G, option K.

We test these values for the 2 loads mentioned in § 5.1.
