.. _V3.01.404: **v3.01.404** SSLL404 - Buckling an arch =============================================== **Summary** The field of application of this test is structural stability analysis. The structure studied is an arch bent by moments applied at both ends; it is modelled by straight beam elements. The aim is to calculate the critical values of the moments. The interest of this test lies in the following aspects: • calculation of a geometric rigidity matrix for elements POU_D_E. • testing the modal methods of CALC_MODES in stability • presence of neighboring eigenvalues The calculated natural loads are compared to values obtained analytically for an Euler-Bernoulli beam model. In this test, we also validate the option OPTION_INV =' RAYLEIGH '(under SOLVEUR_MODAL) of the CALC_MODES command. .. toctree:: :hidden: self .. toctree:: :maxdepth: 2 :numbered: Probl_me_de_r_f_rence Solution_de_r_f_rence Mod_lisation_A Synth_se_des_r_sultats
