**Summary:**

The static linear elasticity test is used to validate straight beam elements POU_D_T.

This test case concerns a beam on elastic ground, with the ends free.

Arrows, moments, and rotations are tested by comparing simulation results with the reference solution AFNOR (ref. [:ref:`1 <1>`]) as well as those obtained with the Pipestress software.
