Reference solution ===================== Calculation method ------------------ The aim is to calculate the response of a solid block subjected to harmonic pressure on its upper face. The reference solution is obtained by performing a transient response calculation on a physical basis using the Newmark integration scheme with the parameters :math:`\mathit{alpha}\mathrm{=}0.25` and :math:`\mathit{delta}\mathrm{=}0.5`. Reference quantities and results ----------------------------------- It is proposed to test the following quantities: * Move next :math:`x` to coordinate point :math:`(0.1575,0.125,0)` * Stress and deformation at the Gauss point of a cell containing the coordinate node :math:`(0.3325,0.05,0)` * Stress and deformation at coordinate node :math:`(0.3325,0.05,0)` Uncertainty about the solution ---------------------------- It is considered that the regime is established after 90 periods of excitement. The reference values used are those recorded over the 98th and 99th periods of the transitory response.
