v2.03.120 SDLS120 — Cracked 2D plate subjected to a loading in Mode I. Validating the modal calculation with X- FEM#
Summary:
This test case validates the modal calculation for a 2D plate having a crack introduced by the X- FEM method. In particular, we validate the newly developed calculation options RIGI_MECA, MASS_MECA and RIGI_GEOM for an X- FEM model. The plate has a horizontal and straight through crack, embedment boundary conditions are applied on one edge and a loading under pressure on the other in order to open the crack in \(I\) mode.
The reference solution, which is the subject of modeling A, is calculated by*Code_Aster* using the similar model with the meshed crack in a conventional manner. The first 8 natural modes are calculated and their natural frequencies are compared.
The operation of post-processing commands for visualizing a mode_meca result calculated with an X- FEM model is also tested.
C modeling is a copy of A modeling with C_ PLAN modeling instead of D_ PLAN. Its purpose is to test option RIGI_GEOM with the C_ PLAN elements.
