v2.03.003 SDLS03 - Thin rectangular plate simply pressed on the edges#
Summary:
This three-dimensional problem consists in looking for the vibration frequencies of a mechanical structure such as a plate. Two different configurations make it possible to test the vibration modes in the plane of the plate (membrane behavior) with elastic supports on two opposite edges, and the flexural vibration modes of a plate supported on its outline.
This structural mechanics test corresponds to a dynamic analysis of a surface model with linear behavior. It includes two models (triangle or quadrangle mesh).
This problem makes it possible to test plate elements in transverse and membrane flexure and to calculate vibration frequencies by the Lanczos method or the Bathe and Wilson method.
