2. Benchmark solution#

2.1. Calculation method#

The reference results are given by ROTORINSA, a finite element code intended to predict the dynamic behavior of rotors under bending. The following parameters were used for the reference results:

  • The calculation is based on a number of rotating modes \(\mathrm{NVES}=8+4\), in ROTORINSA.

  • The rotation speed range is set from \(0\) to \(30000\mathrm{tr}/\mathrm{mn}\) with a step \(10000\mathrm{tr}/\mathrm{mn}\).

2.2. Reference quantities and results#

The results of ROTORINSA give the frequencies of the flexure modes.

The calculation of the rotating modes is done with Code_Aster using the same modeling as ROTORINSA. The Code_Aster results give both the frequencies of the flexure, torsional, and traction/compression modes. The number of modes calculated is 20.
