5. Conclusion#

This test case contributes to the verification of the validity of the calculation by the frequency method available in Code_Aster of the linear vibratory response of a tubular structure such as a beam simply supported cantilever, subjected to an external transverse flow over part of its length. It is based on two series of experimental results obtained during a test campaign carried out by laboratory ANL (USA). It appears that for this configuration, the instability rate of the dynamic system, a very important quantity in optimizing the maintenance of steam generator tubes, is approximated to within 5 to 10%. Moreover, the test case leads to results that will be used as reference values to avoid the regression of the main operators used in the vibration calculation of steam generator tubes.
