v2.02.023 SDLL23 - Free-embedded beam subject to an earthquake (spectral response)#
Summary
This unidirectional problem consists in carrying out a spectral seismic analysis of a free-embedded beam, provided with two localized masses, subjected to a three-dimensional excitation provided in the form of a spectrum of pseudo-accelerated oscillators.
Through this problem, we test the modal combinations DPC, SRSS,,, CQC and DSC of the COMB_SISM_MODAL operator. The SRSS combination is tested taking into account overlooked trends.
In addition, the operators CALC_MODES, NORM_MODE,, MODE_STATIQUE, DEFI_FONCTION, and DEFI_NAPPE are tested.
Concerning modeling A, the results obtained, relating to Euler beams, are in agreement with the results of other codes, for cases without taking into account the pseudo-mode. The differences with the reference results in the case where the pseudo-mode is taken into account are explained by a different calculation hypothesis for the determination of this pseudo-mode.
B modeling, using Euler beams, relates to a more refined mesh than that of modeling A.
Modeling C includes Timoshenko beams and relates to a mesh identical to that of modeling B; the results show significant differences with Euler beam modeling and are very sensitive to the shear coefficient.
