**v2.01.321** SDLD321 - Transient dynamic response of a harmonic oscillator with variable damping

**Summary:**

The system under consideration is a harmonic oscillator with 1 degree of freedom under harmonic excitation at resonance. Various depreciations will be considered:


* critical damping,


* average depreciation,


* very low damping.

Through this problem, we test the various algorithms of the DYNA_TRAN_MODAL [:ref:`U4.54.03 <U4.54.03>`] command and their abilities to deal with extreme damping problems. The results are compared to the exact analytical solutions.
