Summary

This test consists in calculating the undamped transient response of a free-embedded linear mass-spring system subjected to an imposed acceleration.

We test the discrete element in traction-compression, the calculation of natural modes, static modes and the calculation of the transient response of a system subjected to an imposed acceleration. The direct calculation of the response is compared to its calculation by modal recombination.

This test case comes from guide VPCS. The reference solution is an analytical calculation. The errors in the results obtained are normal considering the time step chosen for numerical integration.
