v1.02.202 RTOOL01 — Releasing DDLs on the SMART model with the Rtool tool tool#

Summary:

The objective of this test is to validate the kinematic relationships produced by the Rtool tool tool from salome_meca. This tool makes it easy to release degrees of freedom (DDL) of rotation between two structural elements. The test uses the modal analysis of the reinforced concrete building model carried out during the SMART2013 test campaign (Seismic design and best-estimate Methods Assessment of Reinforced concrete buildings subjected to Torsion and non-linear effects) conducted by CEAet EDF. This campaign focuses on the seismic study of irregular reinforced concrete buildings whose response is strongly affected by the overall torsional movements. The model represents a three-storey reinforced concrete electrical building on a 1/4 scale; it is produced using the Cauchy-Froude law of similarity (i.e. natural frequencies increased by a ratio of 2).

The objective is to perform the modal analysis under different configurations of relaxation and orientation, and to compare the first three natural frequencies obtained.
