3. B modeling#
The aim is to compare, based on a 2D mesh, the rich models produced by the assignment of the models: MECANIQUE /C_ PLAN, MECANIQUE /C_ PLAN/CONTACT, MECANIQUE /D_ PLAN, MECANIQUE /D_, /D_ /D_ PLAN//CONTACT MECANIQUE AXIS, MECANIQUE/AXIS/CONTACT, THERMIQUE/PLAN,, THERMIQUE/AXIS, MECANIQUE /D_ PLAN_HM,/,,/,. MECANIQUE PLAN_HM CONTACT
With X- FEM, the THERMIQUE/PLAN and THERMIQUE/AXIS models are only available for linear elements, and the MECANIQUE /D_ PLAN_HM modeling is only available for quadratic elements.
We therefore compare the enriched models produced by the assignment of the models:
MECANIQUE /C_ PLAN, MECANIQUE /C_ PLAN/CONTACT, MECANIQUE /D_/,, /D_ PLAN, MECANIQUE /D_ PLAN/CONTACT MECANIQUE AXIS MECANIQUE AXIS CONTACT, THERMIQUE/PLAN, and THERMIQUE/AXIS, on a linear mesh
MECANIQUE /D_ PLAN, MECANIQUE /D_ PLAN_HMet MECANIQUE /D_ PLAN_HM/CONTACT on a quadratic mesh
3.1. Characteristics of linear meshing#
The linear mesh contains all types of linear meshes that can support finite elements X- FEM of the models MECANIQUE /C_ PLAN, MECANIQUE /C_ PLAN/CONTACT, MECANIQUE /D_ PLAN, MECANIQUE /D_, /D_, /D_ PLAN- models, CONTACT MECANIQUE/AXIS, MECANIQUE/AXIS/CONTACT, THERMIQUE/PLAN, THERMIQUE,,/AXIS, MECANIQUE /D_ cursive and then /D_. PLAN_HM MECANIQUE PLAN_HM CONTACT The cracks are arranged in such a way that all the X- FEM elements of the modeling are tested. The mesh, as well as the 3 cracks in question, are represented in the figure below.

The characteristics of the mesh are summarized in the table below.

3.2. Characteristics of quadratic meshing#
The quadratic mesh contains all the types of linear cells that can support finite elements X- FEM from MECANIQUE /D_ PLAN_HM models. The interface is arranged in such a way that all the elements X- FEM of the modeling MECANIQUE /D_ PLAN_HM are tested (here we do not consider a crack because the « crack-tip » elements do not exist for the modeling MECANIQUE /D_ PLAN_HM). The mesh and the interface are shown in the figure below.

The characteristics of the mesh are summarized in the table below.
